Almond Butter Brownie

Gluten-free, Dairy Free and Low Carb


Ingredients

·         1 cup Creamy Almond Butter

·         ½ cup brown sugar  

·         1 egg

·         1 to 2 tsp liquid (water/almond milk)

·         1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

·         1/3 cup baking cocoa powder

·         1/2 teaspoon baking powder

·         1/8 teaspoon salt

Makes 12

Directions

1.      Preheat oven to 350’F. In a mixing bowl combine wet ingredients; almond butter, egg and vanilla.

2.      Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet, stir well to combine.

3.      Bake in a prepared 8″x8″ glass baking dish for 20-22 minutes until brownies are set and sides begin to pull away form the glass.

4.      Let cool completely, then slice into 12 squares and serve.

 

 

Notes

Use 1 tsp liquid when combining wet ingredients and mix in more as needed when combining the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.

½ cup Brown sugar can be substituted with 1/3 cup Agave syrup/ honey.

 Agave syrup may cause baked items to brown more quickly, so reduce oven temperatures by 25°F is and increase baking time slightly.
